Wall Street for Sale - The Bidding Starts at € 550
kippenberger
23 April 2007 (aabykk) - art.auctions by Ketterer Kunst makes it possible! The action starts on May 5, 2007, when the 1993 Martin Kippenberger monogrammed colour offset work "WALLST" is to be sold at auction online. Some 330 objects by world-famous artists are to be called on that date, starting online at 4 pm, Central European Daylight Saving Time. The prices of the works to be sold at the auction of Old Masters and Art of the 19th Century, Modern Art & Post War are almost all below € 1,000.
The auctions that have been held live online by art auctions by Ketterer Kunst since September 2006 have drawn dealers and collectors not only from the German-speaking countries but also from abroad. Clients in the latter category particularly appreciate the convenience of participating online. Moreover, the "Affordable prices for big names" concept has been a resounding success with a young clientele, who are so often enthusiastic about art but without the wherewithal for buying it at auction.
Attractive prices should be a magnet for bidders this time, too. Besides some works dating from the 15th to the 19th centuries by Friedrich August von Kaulbach, Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Anthonie Waterloo et al., the live online auction will showcase a dazzling array of works from the Modern and Contemporary sector, featuring such distinguished names as Joseph Beuys, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, Rupprecht Geiger, Erich Heckel, Jörg Immendorff, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Miró, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter and Victor Vasarely.
All objects are as from now reproduced on our online-catalogue. There, at detail views, bids in writing can already be made or directly at www.kettererkunst.com/auction/bids.shtml. Those wishing to bid live online will find more information on registering to bid online from April 26, 2007, at www.kettererkunst.com.
Pre-sale viewings of the objects are scheduled from May 2 to May 4, 2007, at 11 am to 5 pm on each day at Ketterer Kunst, Meßberg 1, Hamburg.
Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has been firmly established in the front ranks of auction houses dealing in art and rare books. While the Munich headquarters in the Prinz-Alphons Palais is responsible for the two traditional annual auctions of Modern Art & Post War, the Meßberghof in Hamburg is the venue for two traditional auctions a year, each based on the following fields: Old Masters and 19th-Century Art /Marine Art and Rare Books - Autographs - Manuscripts - Decorative Prints as well as Modern Art & Post War, with a focus on works on paper. In addition, exhibitions, special and benefit auctions for charity as well as live auctions online are regular events at Ketterer Kunst.
