"Die kleinen Strolche"(The Little Rascals, Kindergarten in Grünwald) hand over a check worth € 520, proceeds from the online charity auction at Ketterer Kunst, to Mahendra Munisamy (Helping Hands for India).

Munich, 5 May, 2014, (kk) – A remarkable sum of € 520 was realized in a charity auction on www.ketterer-internet-auction.com. The masterpiece of an elephant* made by children from the kindergarten "Die kleinen Strolche" (The Little Rascals) in Grünwald near Munich brought in this amount in an auction on the online platform** of Ketterer Kunst. The complete proceeds will go to the benefit of the organization Helping Hands for India***, it was handed over by the artists in person.
When handing the check over the children agreed: "This was much fun, especially since we can help other children that are not as well off as we are by painting a huge picture of the painting elephant lady Mangala. We hope that children in Mangala's home country India will enjoy their new school as much as we enjoyed this whole activity".

Mahendra Munisamy, who received the check as representative of "Helping Hands for India", is likewise enthusiastic: "The auction of this picture is both a very creative as well as an efficient donation campaign. We are very happy about the help. We will use the money not only to buy teaching material for our newly built school in Pittamgarh near Rishikesh in Northern India, but we can also pay a teacher for about one year".

Robert Ketterer, owner of Ketterer Kunst added: "As a Munich-based auction house we do not only feel obliged to art, but also to social issues. This is why it always makes me happy to combine one with the other. What I particularly like about this whole event is the fact that the kids from Munich were artistically active on the one hand, and that their enthusiasm helped other, less privileged children living on the other side of the world".
Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has been firmly established in the front ranks of auction houses dealing in fine art and rare books, with its headquarters in Munich and a branch in Hamburg. Gallery rooms in Berlin as well as representatives in Heidelberg, Düsseldorf and Modena (Italy) contribute substantially to the company's success. In addition, exhibitions, special theme and charity auctions as well as permanent online auctions on www.ketterer-internet-auctions.com are regular events at Ketterer Kunst.
