Ketterer Kunst For The First Time In The Global TOP 10
Munich, July 31, 2020 - For the first time Ketterer Kunst moved up into the TOP 10 of the world's strongest selling auction houses of 20th and 21st century art, now occupying place 7*. The leading German auction house moved up by four ranks in comparison with last year.

The international expert for art from Germany has been leading the domestic market for several consecutive years, in a global comparison the auction house is the strongest selling owner-managed family business.

Next to total proceeds of more than € 30 million** generated in spring 2020, the top level of Ketterer Kunst also shows in figures such as the only two German auction results in the millions, a total of 58 results beyond the € 100,000 line as well as scores of auction records and many remarkable price increases.

“I am very pleased that we were able to strengthen our top position in the global ranking,” says Robert Ketterer, auctioneer and owner of Ketterer Kunst. “Needless to say, in the face of the current corona crisis this is a particularly great success for which I am deeply grateful indeed. The company owner explains: “It is, of course, no big secret that both our long established focus on innovative digital concepts and our clients with their strong awareness for quality are of crucial significance for this development. They simply love good art, both for the sake of it and as a stable form of investment.”
