Signed and dated in the upper right. 50 x 71.5 cm (19.6 x 28.1 in). [AW].
• Early work in a casual, intimate style that shows the influence of Marie Laurencin.
• At the time of its creation, Helmut Kolle was living in Berlin before he and his partner, the art dealer Wilhelm Uhde, moved to Paris in 1924.
• In 2010/2011, the work was part of the exhibition “Helmut Kolle. Ein Deutscher in Paris” at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz and the Ernst Barlach Haus.

In good condition. Isolated tiny brownish spots. The edges of the image are rubbed and partly scuffed. Some slight craquelure and tiny color losses. Some minor retouching, mainly in the upper area. The condition report was prepared in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
