"As well as more common plants, it depicts many orchids, palms and other exotic plants, which would have been found in the 'Establishment Louis van Houtte', the largest nursery of its time on the continent." (De Belder) - Im Unterschied zu Plesch folgt unsere Kollation dem Prinzip, auch die doppelblattgr. und mehrf. gefalt. Tafeln nur als eine zu zählen. - Tlw. leicht stockfleckig, einige Tafeln schwach gebräunt, 1 gefalt. Tafel im Falz gerissen, 5 Tafeln mit kl. Nagelspur im unt. Bildrand, wenige Tafeln mit kl. Randläsuren, Bindungen tlw. gelockert (wenige Lagen und Tafeln gelöst, 1 Bd. stärker betroffen), wenige Bll. mit Mäusefraß im unt. R., Titel und Text tlw. mit Besitzerstempel. Einbde. leicht berieben, Kanten bestoßen, 1 Kapital mit kl. Läsur.Vols. I-XII (of 23) in 23. - 1040 (of 1085; 992 coloured, 34 tinted, 153 folding or doublepage) lithogr. plates. Contemp. half calf. - Partly slight foxing, few plates slithly tanned, 1 plate torn in the folding, 5 plates with traces of nailing in the lower illustrated margin, few plates with little marginal defects, bindings partly loosened (few quires detached, 1 vol. stronger), titles and text partly stamped. Bindings slightly rubbed, edges bumped, 1extremity of spine with little damage.
