Knesebeck 263 b (of b). Signed, dated and inscribed. On creme wove paper. 20,8 x 18,6 cm (8,1 x 7,3 in). Sheet: 37,5 x 26,3 cm (14,8 x 10,3 in).
The artist explained in a letter: "[..] the sheet originally was intended to be larger, I trimmed it to what it is now. This led to the unusual section." (quote after Knesebeck, Bern 2002, p. 742). [CB].
