Signed lower right. 31,4 : 39,5 cm (12,3 : 15,5 in). Born in Mechau in what was then Silesia in 1893, Kurt Seifert worked in both the fine and the applied arts, studying with Oskar Moll and Otto Mueller at the Breslau Art Academy. Seifert later moved to Fischen on Ammersee. In our work, a lively park scene captured in a flurry of spring colours, Moll’s Impressionist influence is still evident. [NB]
