It is very likely that Rohlfs used a porcelain bust from the collection of arts and crafts of his mentor Karl Ernst Osthaus as the model for this work. [JS].
Accompanied by a written confirmation issued by Prof. Dr. Paul Vogt, Essen, dated 17 March, 2011.
