"Il composa pour l'instruction des ses enfants un Lexicum ou Elementarium latin, qui est fort imparfait sans doute et contient beaucoup d'erreurs, mais qui est fort curieux, parce qui'il constate pour ainsi dire les derniers manuscrits d'une langue qui achevait de mourir. Papias ne manquait pas d'instruction, et son Lexique renferme de bons renseignements tirés des lexicographes anciens." (NBG XXXIX, 159) - Etw. wasserrandig (erste und letzte Bll. stärker), vereinz. gebräunt. - Mit altem Besitzeintrag 'Camillo Dabbo Monseilicensis'.Fourth and last incunabulum edition, first printed at Milan in 1476. With numerous white-on-black woodcut initials. Contemp. wooden boards with 4 clasps (spine renewed in contemp. style). - Lacking the last blank. - Some waterstaining (first and last leaves stronger), here and there browned. 17th cent. ownership inscriptions of 'Camillo Dabbo Monseilicensis'.
