Wurzbach 13, Bastelaer/de Loo (Peter Bruegel l' Ancien. Son Oeuvre et son Temps) 2, Hollstein 466, New Hollstein 172 I (of II) before erasion of date. Inscribed and dated in upper left of plate. Lower center with address of publisher Bartholomäus de Mompers, Antwerp. Excellent early impression with auxiliary lines in writing. On laid paper, on firm wove paper. With narrow margin at top, else trimmed to image. 36,1 x 50,2 cm (14,2 x 19,7 in), the full sheet.
Of outmost scarcity. The New Hollstein, 2004, mentions only 7 copies in possession of museums. [CB/HW].
