"The Morte d'Arthur brought him instant recognition and the artistic leadership of a decade often known as the 'Beardsley period' .. The Malory drawings are his strongest illustrations" (Garvey).
EINBAND: Schöner Halbmaroquinband mit ornamentaler Rückenvergoldung und 2 farb. Rückenschildern, mit marmorierten Bezugspapieren, Kopfgoldschnitt, in Schuber. 26 : 21 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 1 Radierung als Frontispiz, 19 (5 doppelblattgr.) Tafeln und zahlr. Initialen, Vignetten und Bordüren. - KOLLATION: LIV, 624 S. - ZUSTAND: Etw. gebräunt, S. 3 etw. fleckig. - Dekoratives Exemplar.
