With water marks in places, the two folding maps with small tears in the folding, 2 plates with small tear, 1 plate with marginal blemish, 1 text l. with defective corner, title with stamp and small rebacked blemish, joints slightly loosened. Binding rubbed.
First German edition. 33 (of 34) engr. plates and maps, mostly folding. Contemp. calf. - Lacking the map of Patagonia. Partly waterstained, the two large maps with tears to folds, 3 plates with marginal tear or defective spot, title stamped and with rebacked defective spot, hinges only slightly shaken. Binding rubbed.
