Wilhelm introduced smallpox vaccination in Würzburg and gave his first clinical lecture in the Juliusspital in 1772. - Flying endpaper removed, inside cover with ownership entry. Cover with scratchmarks, 1 edge worn, front outer joint somewhat torn, upper spine end with small blemish. - Half title with ms. ownership entry by Fürst Carl zu Löwenstein-Wertheim, dated 10 June 1782.
