• Using broad, impasto brushstrokes and a composition strongly defined by central perspective, Brockhusen captured an atmospheric garden landscape.
• Between 1906 and 1915, he was represented by the renowned art dealer Paul Cassirer.
• From 1905, Theo von Brockhusen was a member of the Berlin Secession and, from 1914, of the Free Secession, assuming its presidency in 1918.
• Most recently, he was honored in a grand retrospective at the Potsdam Museum from November 2025 to March 2026.
