Paolo, Pablo Picasso's son, was born in 1921. Around the same time the motif of "Mother and Child" reappeared in the artist's creation. This work shows the personal perspective of the proud and happy father in the loving interaction in the work. The reticence from teh blue and rose period has disappeared. Picasso seems to have found a new interpretation of the motif.
