One sheet monogrammed. Both sheets numbered "Z 24" and "Z 55" as well as inscribed and with dimensions. On thin board and on chalk-primed wove paper. Size of sheets: 15.3 x 7.8 cm (6 x 3 in) and 13,9 x 10 cm (5,5 x 3,9 in).
Chalk-primed sheet with trimmed stamp of 'Malutensilien-Handlung Herrmann' on verso.
Both drawings served as models for the book "Im Hochgebirge. Wanderungen von Emil Zsigmondy, mit Abbildungen von E.T. Compton", published by Duncker & Humblot, Leipzig 1889. [CB].
