The painting "Bauernhof mit Brunnen" was made around 1850, it is a great document of Bürkel's mastery at the peak of his creation. Countless variations of the motif can be found in the artist's entire oeuvre. However, each work is characterized by a different arrangement of people animals and landscape. In this case he staged the scene in front of the towering Alps and under the piled clouds.
