• With a painting dominated by thick masses of paint, Kluge's expressive figuration stand in the tradition of Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud.
• In 1973 Kluge was co-founder of the Hamburg 'Produzentengalerie' and until 2014 he taught at the 'Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe.'
• The painting was part of the exhibition "Gustav Kluge. Egocinema" at Wilhelm-Hack-Museum, Ludwigshafen, in 2012.
