On a stamped postcard. 14 x 9 cm (5.5 x 3.5 in), size of sheet.
Postcard to Karl Schmidt-Rottluff with the postage stamp Varel (Oldenburg) from December 10, 1909 inscribed: "Fahre Montag hier weg über Hamburg. Bester Gruss Dein Erich". [SM].
• The medium of the postcard developed into a genre in its own right in 20th century art.
• Heckel discovered Dangast as an artistic retreat in 1907 and made regular study visits until 1912.
• In dance, the "Brücke" artists found the ideal motif for direct and unadulterated expression
