• From the sought-after Berlin days.
• In those years the female nude in the studio was a main motif of E. L. Kirchner and the "Brücke" artists.
• The artists provided an entirely new and innovative interpretation of the female nude as an independent pictorial element.
• Through the narrow image space, the immediacy of the frontal view and the juxtaposition of round and edgy forms, Kirchner created a particularly fascinating variation of the Figure-In-Space-Composition.
