• Impressive large-size landscape with a harmonious light atmosphere.
• In 1906 Brockhusen joined the avant-gardistic Berlin Secession and selected this work for his first exhibition participation.
• Made during a very prolific early creative period, in which Brockhusen found orientation with French Impressionism and was represented by the renowned Berlin gallerist Paul Cassirer.
• The narrowing perspective of tree-lined streets and alleys is a characteristic motif in the artist's oeuvre.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Northern Germany (until 2011).
Private collection Lower Saxony (acquired in 2014).
