Eines von 40 Exemplaren auf Vélin. Käthe Carl (geb. 1887) gehörte zusammen mit ihrem Ehemann Walter (1894-1956) zu Beckmanns engstem Frankfurter Freundeskreis.
Beckmann fertige 1918 von dem Ehepaar Carl auch ein gemeinsames Gemälde an. Beide gehören zu den ersten Sammlern von Beckmann-Gemälden in Frankfurt. - Veröffentlicht 1920 im Karl Lang Verlag in Darmstadt.
- ZUSTAND: Unter Passepartout montiert, im Passepartout-Ausschnitt lichtrandig. Ansonsten sauberes Exemplar.
LITERATUR: Hofmaier 103 B b (von B b).
One of 40 copies on wove paper. Drypoint etching. Signed. Around 1916. 23.5 : 17.4 cm. Paper size 30.6 : 22.5 cm. Käthe Carl (born 1887) and her husband Walter (1894-1956) belonged to Beckmann's closest circle of friends in Frankfurt. - Mounted behind passe-partout (in 2 places on the upper edge), light-stained in the passe-partout opening. Otherwise clean copy.
