• The "Finger-Schnitte" (finger cuts) are one of the most important groups within Lambert Maria Wintersberger's oeuvre.
• The distanced and precise depictions of injuries and the aestheticisation of pain in this pop art interpretation have a highly critical undertone in line with the protest movements of the late 1960s.
• His works are in the collections of the Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf, the Museum am Ostwall, Dortmund, and the Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst, Gent.

In good condition, margins with isolated spoiled spots that do not impair the overall impression. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
