LITERATURE: Grace Watenphul Pasqualucci, Alessandra Pasqualucci, Max Peiffer Watenphul. Catalogue raisonné, vol. 1: Gemälde - Aquarelle, Cologne 1989, cat. no. G 754 (illustrated in black and white).
In good condition. Peiffer Watenphul applied the paint to the coarse burlap without a primer, which is why small holes remain visible in some parts of the painting, as the paint did not completely cover the coarse fabric structure. This is due to the technique used and does not constitute damage. With minimal craquelure in places of the edges, partly with isolated small color losses caused by the loose painting style that leaves the ground partially visible, but not detracting from the fine overall impression.
The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
