Each signed and numbered. One of 4 numbered "HC" copies aside from the edition of 50. On firm Arches wove board. Up to 64.4 x 95 cm (25.3 x 37.4 in). Sheet: each 81,5 x 112 cm (32 x 44 in).
Complete series. Printed by Rupert Jasen Smith, New York. Published by Edition Schellmann & Klüser, Munich/New York (with the copyright stamp on the reverse). [KA].

• Warhol at his best: Complete series from his most mature creative period.
• A tribute to icons of art history: Warhol takes motifs from Old Masters and gives them a new pop art presence through bright color contrasts and serial transformations.
• Through the use of silkscreen printing, Warhol explored the interface between art and commerce —a key aspect of his art.
• Obtained by the publisher in 1989 and since then in a private Southern German collection.
• Most recently, Warhol was honored together with Keith Haring in the exhibition “Andy Warhol & Keith Haring. Party of Life” at the Museum Brandhorst, Munich

Buyer's premium, taxation and resale right compensation for Andy Warhol "Details of Renaissance Paintings (Paolo Uccello, St. George and the Dragon, 1460)"
This lot can be purchased subject to differential or regular taxation, artist‘s resale right compensation is due.

Differential taxation:
Hammer price up to 800,000 €: herefrom 32 % premium.
The share of the hammer price exceeding 800,000 € is subject to a premium of 27 % and is added to the premium of the share of the hammer price up to 800,000 €.
The share of the hammer price exceeding 4,000,000 € is subject to a premium of 22 % and is added to the premium of the share of the hammer price up to 4,000,000 €.

Calculation of artist‘s resale right compensation:

another 3 % of the hammer price from 50,000.01 to 200,000 euros,
another 1 % for the part of the sales proceeds from 200,000.01 to 350,000 euros,
another 0.5 % for the part of the sale proceeds from 350,000.01 to 500,000 euros and
another 0.25 % of the hammer price over 500,000 euros.
The maximum total of the resale right fee is EUR 12,500.

The artist‘s resale right compensation is VAT-exempt.
