Spine with traces of an old over painting. Fine copy.
Early edition, the second by de Bry. Overall view of anatomy by Du Laurens, the private physician of Henri IV, with fine engravings by de Bry after Vesalius, Valverde, Kaiter et al. Contains engr. title, engr. portrait and 26 full-page engravings in text. Contemp. pigskin on raised bands with blind- and rollstamps (heads, apostles). - Partly minor browning, engr. title with small defective spots in the gutter (not affecting printed matter), endpapers with old ownership inscriptions and stamped bookplate. Spine with rests of early painting. In general fine copy.
