VD 16, B 2796. - Darlow/Moule 4211 notes. - Cologne edition of the Catholic bible translation by Johann Dietenberger (first in 1534). The woodcuts partly monogrammed, among them numerous with the monogram VD, presumably recut after Solis' illustrations for previous bible editions. Several woodcuts with the monogram HE (Nagler III, 853) or SHF (Nagler V, 9). - Somewhat browned, waterstained in places, somewhat stained here and there, first and last ll. with marginal defects, title mounted. Binding with traces of scrapes in places and somewhat bumped.
Cologne edition of the Catholic translation by J. Dietenberger. With 2 figured woodcut title-borders (rep.) after Virgil Solis and 136 woodcuts in text. Somewhat later calf over wooden boards. - Some browning, partly waterstain, here and there some staining, first and last leaves with marg. defects, title mounted. Binding bumped and rubbed in places.
