Two Christmas greetings to countess Marietta von Courten (1883-1962) in Munich. The family de Courten had its seat in Wallis, the landscape of the Alps particularly fascinated Rilke. The lyric work by the rather unknown Swiss poet Louis de Courten (1880-1903) was published in the small anthology La terre valaisanne: poésies in 1905. - Letter with discernible small folding creases, envelope torn and mended.
