Swammerdam's anatomy of the honey-bee is the first comprehensive account of that much investigated animal" (Cole, Comparative anatomy, 285). - Mit den schönen Tafeln von J. Ch. F. Fritsch. - Textspiegel schwach gebräunt, Tafeln leicht stockfleckig (wenige deutlicher), Titel mit kl. gekröntem Monogramm-Stempel. Guterhaltenes Exemplar mit gest. Wappen-Exlibris Johannes Paulus von Buol-Wischenau (nicht bei Warnecke).

In general fine copy with engr. armorial bookplate Buol-Wischenau.
