William Shakespeare
Biography
William Shakespeare, an English dramatist, actor and poet, was said to be born as the son of the craftsman John Shakespeare and his wife Mary in Stratford-upon-Avon on 23 April, 1564. He was baptized on 26 April, 1564. At the age of 18 the poet married the farmer's daughter Anne Hathaway, who was 8 years older than him, with whom he had three children. It is believed that Shakespeare worked as a teacher in Lancashire from 1582 to 1590. Shakespeare's works "Romeo and Juliet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream" from 1595 were the most poetic dramas he ever created. Between 1596 and 1599 Shakespeare created his comedies "The Merchant from Venice", "The Merry Wives of Windsor", "Much Ado About Nothing" as well as "As you like it". There is a change in his work about the turn of the century. His tragedies, for example "Hamlet", "Macbeth", "Othello" or the play "King Lear" were created in this period. William Shakespeare became a partner of the London Globe Theater. After his death on 23 April, 1616, Shakespeare was burried in the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon.
