• Dramatic, erotic, provocative: a visual interpretation of the duality and inner conflict of Tannhäuser, the protagonist of Richard Wagner’s opera of the same name.
• A vibrant composition with fractured color fields and energetic, broad brushstrokes.
• Alongside his female portraits and plein-air paintings, the artist also created erotic-mythological scenes, literary works, and fairy-tale motifs.
