Voss 529. Signed in lower right. Verso of panel with stamp of 'Gebrüder Oberndorfer', cabinet makers, Munich. 82 x 71 cm (32.2 x 27.9 in).
In an original Hans Irlbacher frame, Munich (with the label).
• Referencing the putto figure, which was of great significance in the early days of Stuck's career when he was active as illustrator.
• Stuck merges art-historic tradition and mythology as well as his portraitist skills in this updated version of the role portrait.
• Particularly bright and airy work for Stuck's late creative period
