To the (not mentioned by name) zoologist Ludwig Plate (1862-1937), student of Haeckel and his successor as director at the Phylogenetic Museum in Jena. Haeckel send him some dcuments of the philosophic faculty Jena and so-called 'Ritter Foundation', and announced further mailings respectively. ".. Ich wünsche, im Laufe des kommenden Sommers alle Akten des Zoologischen Instituts & des Phyletischen Museums definitiv zu ordnen und an Sie, als meinen Amtsnachfolger, abgeben zu können .." - The Phylogenetic Museum in Jena was founded by Haeckel in 1907 and was financed by the foundation's endowments. A year later it became part of the Jena University.
