"The work deals only with mammals and birds, chiefly birds, and like the same author's Skandinavisks fauna , in particular, it has contributed to animate and increase Swedish interest in studies and observations of animal life." With 200 col. lithogr. plates (163 of which depicting birds, 37 depicting mammals). Contemp. half calf with gilt title on spine. 2 vols. - Slightly foxed in places, paper margins slightly tanned. Edges rubbed, boards sunned in places.
