Munich, 13 December, 2013, (kk) – The remarkable sum of € 6.002 was realized in a charity auction on www.ketterer-internet-auctions.com. The unusual masterpiece* by the painting elephant Lady Mangala from Munich's zoo Hellabrunn achieved this result in a real-time auction on Ketterer Kunst's new online platform**. All proceeds will go to the KlinikClowns*** and were handed over yesterday afternoon.
"Being a Munich-based auction house, we not only feel commited to fine art, but also to social matters in our city. I am so happy that this charity event can help right here outside our doors, and that we can support the KlinikClowns to put a smile on the faces of many little patients", says Robert Ketterer, owner of Ketterer Kunst.

Engineer Bernd Sacher, owner of "SACHER GmbH – Ingenieure + Sachverständige", has a similar view: "The municipal hospitals are among our clients, and I have come to realize there how much a little humor and fun can do to change everyday routines. What I like about this charity is that proceeds are fully paid to the KlinikClowns. Additionally, it shows that simple means can achieve so much. Mangala's masterpiece will always remind us of that, it will get its place of honor in our company".

Elisabeth Makepeace, chairwoman of KlinikClowns e.V. is thrilled: "The auction of this piece of art is the funniest charity event we have had since we started 15 years ago. We are really grateful to the buyer, the auction house Ketterer Kunst, the zoo Hellabrunn, and, last but not least, the great Indian artist"!
Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has been firmly established in the front ranks of auction houses dealing in fine art and rare books, with its headquarters in Munich and a branch in Hamburg. Gallery rooms in Berlin as well as representatives in Heidelberg, Düsseldorf and Modena (Italy) have contributed substantially to the company's success. In addition, exhibitions, special theme and charity auctions as well as online auctions are regular events at Ketterer Kunst.
